BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Ravens hired Marc Trestman as their offensive co-ordinator Tuesday, keeping with their tendency to hire a former head coach for the position.Trestman was fired by the Chicago Bears last month after going 5-11 in his second season. He interviewed with Cleveland for the offensive co-ordinator job before taking the same position with Baltimore.Trestman is the fourth former head coach in four years to fill the position with the Ravens. He follows Cam Cameron, Jim Caldwell and Gary Kubiak. Trestmans first head-coaching gig was with the CFLs Montreal Alouettes from 2008-2012.Kubiak, the former coach of the Houston Texans, served one year before leaving to become head coach of the Denver Broncos this week.Former Broncos offensive co-ordinator Adam Gase also interviewed for the Baltimore job.Ravens coach John Harbaugh moved quickly to fill the position because hes headed to Hawaii to coach in the Pro Bowl.Baltimore set team marks in points (409) and yards (5,83Cool in 2014. In addition, quarterback Joe Flacco threw for a career-high 3,986 yards and 27 touchdowns while being sacked only 19 times compared to 48 in 2013.After the Ravens fell to New England in the second round of the playoffs, there was hope the offence would be even better in its second season under Kubiak. He expressed a desire to return — until the job in Denver opened up.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Gary Payton Jersey . The Spanish champions decision not to sign a defender during the January transfer window may have backfired after Valencia took advantage of a lethargic, uninspired effort by its hosts at the Camp Nou, where former Spain coach Luis Aragones -- who previously coached the Catalan side -- was honoured after his death on Saturday. Gus Williams Jersey . - Mark Sanchez found out the New York Jets had acquired Tim Tebow on a conference call with team management. https://www.supersonicsjerseys.com/360s-derrick-mckey-jersey-supersonics.html. Mission accomplished. Now the Royals will take the field on Saturday with a World Series lead for the first time in team history when they play Game 4 of the Fall Classic against the Giants at AT&T Park. Tom LaGarde Jersey . -- David Price didnt think he would be in Port Charlotte this spring. Joe Hassett Jersey . Here are some of the best from Week One and some to watch in Week Two: TOP PERFORMERS Anthony Allen, RB, Saskatchewan (176 YDS, 2 TD, 30 touches vs. Hamilton) - Powerfully-built back burst onto the scene in his CFL debut, after a couple of years in the NFL, playing 21 games with the Baltimore Ravens.ORLANDO, Fla. -- Road victories dont come easily for the Atlanta Hawks. Not even against one of the NBAs worst teams. Atlanta lost a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter before coming back to hit six free throws in the final 40 seconds and secure a 112-109 victory over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. Paul Millsap had 24 points and Jeff Teague added 23 to help the Hawks earn just their seventh road victory of the season. "I wish they could put a leadership column on the stat sheet. Tonight when we got down, Paul was the one that pulled them together," Atlanta coach Mike Budenholzer said. "All the other stuff is great ... but I think its his leadership, and I think our group needs that going forward." Seven players finished in double-figures for Atlanta, which has won two straight and has a day off before hosting San Antonio on Friday. Millsap stayed confident despite losing the big lead, that it wasnt going to be their latest road shortcoming. "We were falling apart a little bit," he said. "They made a nice little run. We didnt want to just call it quits then. So we had to regroup, get back on the right track." Victor Oladipo led Orlando with 24 points. Tobias Harris had 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Jameer Nelson finished with 17 points. For the Magic, the loss was the latest setback for a team that was hoping to build on a win over Boston on Sunday that snapped a 10-game losing streak. Theyve now started another streak with back-to-back losses to Brooklyn on Tuesday and the Hawks. The Magic have lost 12 of their last 13 overall, and fell to 1-14 this season without starting centre Nik Vucevic, who continues to recover from a concussion. "Its tough for us to make shots down the stretch," Harris said. "We had some good opportunities, we just couldnt convert." The Hawks entered the game just 6-13 on the road, an issue that coach Mike Budenholzer said could be solved by showing more attention to detail and mental toughness. They would need those attributes late against the Magic. The Magic fell behind by as many as 11 in the first half, before trimming the Hawks lead down to 60-59 in the opening minutes of the third quarter.dddddddddddd. Atlanta responded by hitting nine of its first 16 shots in the quarter to ignite a 22-4 run that opened up a 19-point lead at 82-63. But Orlando closed the quarter with its own 17-6 spurt and trailed by eight entering the final period. The Magics momentum continued in the fourth, and they took their first lead of the game, 93-92, on a dunk by Kyle OQuinn. They were leading 98-92 when they lost Doron Lamb, who fouled out after scoring seven quick points in the quarter. With Lamb gone, Orlando got a little sloppy offensively and the Hawks closed to 102-100 on Shelvin Macks layup with 3:47 to play. After a pair of lead changes Atlanta went back in front, 110-109, on a pair of free throws by Pero Antic with 22.8 seconds to play. Orlando got Glen Davis free for a short jumper that bounced off the back of the rim. Antic got the rebound, was fouled, and hit two more at the foul line with just 11.1 seconds left. The Hawks never trailed in the first half and took a 60-56 lead into halftime. Both teams shot above 50 per cent in the half, but the Hawks held a 36-24 edge on scoring in the paint. Millsap led all scorers with 14 first-half points. Teague said Millsap continues to carry the Hawks since Al Horford was sidelined for the season with a torn right pectoral muscle. "He does that every night, Do-It-All-Paul," Teague said. "Hes been the ultimate player for us this year, and he did it again tonight. If he doesnt make (the All-Star team) it would be highway robbery, I think." NOTES: Atlantas Kyle Korver extended his NBA record to 110 consecutive games with at least one made 3-pointer. ... Orlando fell to 1-24 when its opponent scores 100 or more points. ... Vucevic missed his ninth straight game due to a concussion. Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said he isnt sure where Vucevic is in the leagues concussion protocol, saying only that "Hes still in the doctors hands." ' ' 'his 18th NBA season by going 2 for 9 with four assists and eight turnovers in 28 minutes. The fourth-leading scorer in NBA history got hurt April 12 and persevered through several months of rehabilitation to return for Los Angeles 20th game of the new season, only to struggle with his shot, his timing and his new teammates. "My rhythm is completely out of sync," Bryant said. "But this is a start, and I guess a start is good." Nick Young scored 19 points for the Lakers, who went 10-9 without Bryant this season, forging a winning record without the five-time NBA champion and with little help from fellow injured MVP Steve Nash. Adoring fans cheered Kobes every move and forgave every misstep, but Bryant couldnt rally the Lakers late despite another huge game by Los Angeles reserves. Bryant was touched by the fans reception and his teammates encouragement, although his ruthless competitive nature chafed against his natural emotions before the opening tip. "You try to control it as much as you can, but you cant help thinking about the hard work," Bryant said. "You try to put it to the side as much as possible and do your work. ... It makes you appreciate the game, this franchise and this city, and all weve been through." The Lakers never led, and Toronto improbably snapped its five-game losing streak despite playing without forward Rudy Gay, who is expected to be traded to Sacramento on Monday as the centerpiece of an apparent seven-player deal. Kyle Lowry had 23 points and eight assists, and DeMar DeRozan added 10 of his 26 points in the final 4:35 of the Raptors first road win over the Lakers in 11 tries since Dec. 28, 2001. "(Bryant) was a little rusty, and you could tell because a lot of his shots were short," said DeRozan, who grew up in Los Angeles watching Kobe. "We were going against him his first game back, but hes going to get it going again and hell be back to the old Kobe." The Raptors had 11 players available after holding out Gay, centre Aaron Gray and forward Quincy Acy, all set to head to the Kings in exchange for Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, John Salmons and Chuck Hayes. That turned out to be plenty, thanks to two Los Angeles natives. Johnson, who attended nearby Westchester High School, went 14 for 17 and surpassed his previous career high early in the third quarter. Johnson didnt take a shot in the fourth, but USC product DeRozan and Lowry held off the Lakers. "We knew we were down because half our team got traded, so our mindset was just to go out there and play hard and win this game," Johnson said. "It was real emotional. It happened to us last year in Atlanta, too. We talked to those guys, and Rudy was still at the hotel, so we called him in and told him how much we all appreciated what they did for this team and the city." The building had the buzz of a playoff game before the opening tip, with thousands of fans training cameras on Bryant during opening warmups. The building erupted in loud applause at every mention of Kobe, who was introduced last in the starting lineup to the thunderous strains of "The Imperial March" -- Darth Vaders theme from "Star Wars." The crowd roared again the first time Bryant touched the ball, and he found Robert Sacre underneath the hoop for an assist on Los Angeles first possession. With his wife, Vanessa, and two daughters sitting courtside, Bryant hit a free throw for his first point in the second quarter, followed shortly by an 8-foot, double-pump, left-handed bank shot for his first field goal. Bryant added a signature 22-foot face-up jumper later in the period, but also showed clear signs of rust and unfamiliarity with his new teammates. "Were going to have to carry Kobe a little bit, because of course hes not 100 per cent, not in game shape," said Xavier Henry, who scored 17 points. "Its going to be fun. Its a long year, and hes just getting back." NOTES: The officials allowed Toronto C Jonas Valanciunas to make two free throws out of a timeout late in the first quarter, but belatedly realized Lowry was supposed to take the shots. They wiped the two points off the board and put Lowry back at the line, where he made both shots anyway. ... Terrence Ross banked in a shot from beyond half-court at the first-quarter buzzer to put Toronto up 30-20. Demario Davis Jersey . With the Nets winning streak in jeopardy, Williams scored 23 points, 11 in the final six minutes, to lead Brooklyn to a 104-99 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night. Wes Chandler Jersey . - The Oakland Athletics have finalized an agreement on a 10-year extension to play at the Coliseum through the 2024 season. http://www.customsaintsjersey.com/custom-mark-ingram-jr-jersey-large-1192e.html. -- Joe Thornton scored the tiebreaking goal with 5:39 left in regulation to help the San Jose Sharks overcome a two-goal deficit to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-3 on Thursday night. George Rogers Jersey . Wiggins, a 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward who plays his first exhibition game on Wednesday against Pitt State, was the top prospect in the class of 2013. Trey Hendrickson Jersey . Hes the same player he always was, only now his efforts are being rewarded. The rookie manager has made a habit of heaping praise on others when things are going well, and accepting criticism when they arent. But in the case of Hurtado, its what the coach is NOT saying that may be the secret to a superb run of form.PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles and safety Nate Allen have agreed on a one-year contract. Allen has started 54 games in four seasons with the Eagles. Allen had a career-high 94 tackles and started every game last season. The former second-round pick has six interceptions, three sacks and one forced fumble in his four-year career. The Eagles have already made severaal moves in free agency to bolster a secondary that finished last in the NFL in pass defence.dddddddddddd They signed former Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins, former Seahawks safety and special teams standout Chris Maragos, and former Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll. Allen has played under four defensive co-ordinators in four seasons with the team. ' ' '
